I lowered my screen time significantly and suddenly life is more whimsical and worthy.

Sometimes I mourn versions of myself that only existed for other people. The accommodating one. The patient one. The endlessly forgiving one. I built entire personalities just to keep connections from breaking. And now I’m left wondering who I actually am when I’m not trying to be digestible. It’s terrifying to realize how much of yourself you’ve negotiated away just to avoid being alone.
It’s so backwards that we give our best versions to strangers, bosses, and friends, then come home and feel it’s okay to give the worst version of ourselves to the one place where we are not replaceable.
stop assuming that people are mad at you. Stop attempting to read people's minds. Stop trying to manage the thoughts and emotions of a others. Let people be in: charge of themselves. If they have something to say to you, they will. And if they don't, it's their responsibility, not yours.
