وَ اذۡکُرُوۡۤا اِذۡ اَنۡتُمۡ قَلِیۡلٌ مُّسۡتَضۡعَفُوۡنَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ تَخَافُوۡنَ اَنۡ یَّتَخَطَّفَکُمُ النَّاسُ فَاٰوٰىکُمۡ وَ اَیَّدَکُمۡ بِنَصۡرِہٖ وَ رَزَقَکُمۡ مِّنَ الطَّیِّبٰتِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَشۡکُرُوۡنَ.
And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful.

اور اس حالت کو یاد کرو! جب کہ تم زمین میں قلیل تھے کمزور شمار کئے جاتے تھے۔ اس اندیشہ میں رہتے تھے کہ تم کو لوگ نوچ کھسوٹ نہ لیں، سو اللہ نے تم کو رہنے کی جگہ دی اور تم کو اپنی نصرت سے قوت دی اور تم کو نفیس نفیس چیزیں عطا فرمائیں تاکہ تم شکر کرو
