NEUTRON STAR (PULSAR): A pulsar is a neutron star, which is the dense core left after a massive star undergoes a supernova explosion. The core is composed almost entirely of neutrons and is incredibly compact, typically about 1.4 times the mass of the Sun but compressed into a sphere just around 10-20 km in diameter.😮
FACTS ABOUT EARTH'S CORES: In the inner core, the pressure is incredibly high due to the weight of the entire Earth above it. This pressure is so strong that it forces the iron and nickel to stay in a solid state, even though the temperatures are high enough to melt these metals. The pressure at the Earth's center is about 3.6 million times the atmospheric pressure at sea level! In the outer core: The pressure is still very high, but not as extreme as in the inner core. The temperature is high enough that the iron and nickel are in a liquid state because the pressure here isn’t enough to keep them solid.
